Debra's Story

Life I'm married (to a northbrook grad), with 2 daughters, a cat, a mortgage and career in the title insurance industry. I can talk about my husband; We started dating right after he graduated from Northbrook. I was 17, a junior. We've been together since April, 1987. We spent several years living party to party before we finally settled down. In 1994 I had my first daughter and in 1997 my second daughter was born. They are now in the 2nd & 4th grades. And just like your mom always said; "they grow up so fast". ha. In 1992 I went to work for First American Title and have spent my adult career with the company. e so I returned to First American. And here I am today. I actually worked as a Commercial Escrow Officer for sometime, but in the past 3 years moved into Software Trainer/Coordinator for several Company developed programs, residing on a National Standardization Committee (or Business Re-Engineering, as they call it), participating in BETA testing and enhancement planning. Jokingly, I'm now a geek by trade. I am happy. I never imagined life after 30 and am proud of the progress I've made in life. My marriage and children mean more to me than anything, and because of each of them, I am a better person. I have come on classmates because I often stop and wonder how those friends from school are doing. Where they are at and what they are up to.
